Well done, Personal Radio Station

Music:

Belly - Thief

I think my newly-weighted '90s playlist builder did a pretty decent job spitting out a super typical day in the '90s on the Good Radio Stations.

I've got some tweaks to do, but so far so good.

Calm Down Conspiracy Assholes

Music:

Jane's Addiction - Classic Girl - Which this asshole certainly is *NOT*

I get really tired of this sort of thing.

Safety is in front of piece of shit Stephen Miller's unworthy asshole of a wife. He is guiding her toward safety, as Miller is being guided to safety by the man behind him.

I'm pretty sure that if we could see that man's cufflinks, they would look very similar to mine:

Easy and Cheap SoHo Backups

Music:

Jeanne & The Darlings - How Can You Mistreat The One You Love

I've got a backup management tool set to write. I'll post it when I've got something written and implemented.

I have a small-ish NAS. I currently do nightly Read-Only backups to another NAS stored at a friend's house. Every so often I'll do a "destructive" (Copy & Delete) backup to clean up any files I've deleted or moved since there would be two copies on the target. I only run that when I'm reasonably sure things are "good" on the main device.

My new plan involves a second off-site backup and will give me an effective 2 month backup retention period.

And now I'm spent

Music:

Man, nothing shuts off my productivity spigot like a good old fashioned anxiety attack. I'm not sure what people don't understand about "I don't go outside".

I don't go to supermarkets, I don't go to convenience stores, or restaurants, or concerts or anywhere else I'm going to need to interact with other talking meat. I'll go to the dump, or datacenters or whatever. Places where all the other meat are Over There and aren't trying to have conversations with me. Very occasionally I will work myself up and go to lunch at a diner or whatever, but it's a lot of effort.

Whoops

This is the saddest thing I saw all day. I really can't think of a more appropriate way for things to play out though. Dying to protect his tiny piece of rock, protecting it from someone who really loved him, but wanted to take his rock away.

I remember very little about that book because I never really read it when I was a little kid. I was way too damaged, and I probably still am. But that story sums up a lot about warring over politics.

Mail.app and IMAP Folders

For some time, I've been annoyed by Mail.app not checking all folders every time it checks mail. My situation is that I have an IMAP server at a colo, a Mac Pro at home usually with Mail.app running and more importantly, running its filters, and a MacBook running Mail.app that I take with me to work or wherever.
